She found another use for her teeth

We were so happy when Annabelle finally realized that teeth are for more than just biting mommy. Here she is trying some Trader Joe's Mac and Cheese for the first time. She loved it and did really well considering how often she would choke on even a tiny lump in her yogurt.

This was a big week for Annabelle. After doing so well with the noodles she proceeded to try diced blackberries, pears and peaches. Then tiny cheese chunks and small bites of Branden's yummy spaghetti. It's been a slow process but she is really enjoying her finger food.

Making Memories

Every day is a GREAT day at Seal beach!

They were so cute, just talking to one another about the hole he was digging and the sand castle he was building

It got super windy but it was still a beautiful day.

I love that she took her nap in here and then hung out while we all ate lunch. The boys used her tent as a wind shield. It was perfect.

After lots of play time and lunch on the beach we headed to main street to buy some T-shirts for some very special friends.

May 22nd - It was a great day filled with lots of special moments together.

A swinging good time!

I'm embarrassed to admit it but because Annabelle is so small and has only been sitting for a short while I hadn't put her in a park swing before. A few weeks back, on May 12th, after the boys finished their gymnastics class we decided to have a picnic and play in the park for a while. Well the time had finally come for Annabelle to give the swings a try. I know she looks a little scared but I assure you she wasn't. She really enjoyed herself.

She's UNSTOPPABLE and I love it!

Check out how far she traveled to get to that outlet

She didn't know I was watching her

She sure was proud of herself. We are proud of her as well

Finding beauty amongst the sadness

Here is Annabelle with her Great Uncle Bob (my Uncle and Father's Brother) sitting in the lobby of the funeral home on May 4th. Annabelle brought so much love and hope to family members during the sad days surrounding my Grandmother death.

Here she is with her Auntie Frances after the funeral at Papa's house.

Another HUGE thank you to the wonderful friends that have given us such adorable hand me downs. Both of the dresses in these pictures above were perfect!

Sing A Song of Sixpence

Do you remember this nursery rhyme?

Sing a song of sixpence, a pocket full of rye;
Four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie.
When the pie was opened, the birds began to sing;
Was not that a dainty dish to set before the king?

Annabelle is so lucky to have a big brother that loves her so much that he sings to her at breakfast. Here is Jack's rendition of Sing a Song of Sixpence.

This truck is part of a set of 3 stackable trucks from Discovery Toys. They were Benjamin's and have quickly become her new favorite toy to play with.

Such a happy girl!

How she healed

I took this picture last month and have debated if I should post it or not. Not because I'm ashamed or embarrassed by it. Quite the opposite actually. I am SO pleased with how well Annabelle's back has healed. I think it looks beautiful! It is smooth and soft and has healed better than we expected. It's actually much smoother than this picture makes it seem. The only reason I hesitated to post it was that I didn't really want to post my daughters bottom on the Internet. Isn't there laws against that (ha ha) - I'm totally kidding. Hopefully she will forgive me when she's a teenager.

For those of you that have not seen the previous pictures posted - pre & post operation and during the healing process, please feel free to check them out here.
